We know all about his wild side, and now Prince George is showing he’s a softie, too.
In the full set of four photos released by parents Prince William, 32, and Princess Kate, 33, early Saturday evening, the 22-month-old toddler can be seen adoringly cradling his 5-week-old sister, Princess Charlotte – and even giving her a kiss on the head in one especially sweet shot.
The first of the four photos – all snapped by Kate herself in mid-May – was shared an hour earlier via Kensington Palace’s twitter.
The intimate pictures were taken inside William and Kate’s country home, Anmer Hall, during “private family time,” a spokesman tells PEOPLE.
|They’re absolutely lovely,” adds a palace source. “The duchess has taken some absolutely beautiful photos.”Palace officials did not give an explanation as to why Kate and William decided not to appear in the shots themselves. (Or, sadly, family cocker spaniel Lupo.)
|In August 2013, shortly after George was born, a few shots taken by Kate’s dad Michael Middleton, were released in which the entire family – along with Lupo and Middleton family dog Tilly – were all featured. With the new set of images, Kate and Will are fulfilling a promise to media and well-wishers that they would issue a photograph of their baby ahead of Charlotte’s christening, which is set to take place on July 5.The royal parents have asked that fans wishing to make donations in their daughter’s honor give to Imperial College Healthcare Charity , an organization that raises funds to improve patient healthcare at a group of hospitals including St. Mary’s Hospital in London, where Charlotte was born May 2 .
