This year at London Fashion Week, UAE-based label is heading to the British fashion capital next month to showcase its designs at the biannual event, after winning a prestigious local competition. The womenswear brand Three Fifty Nine was the champion of the Dubai Design & Fashion Council and FAD Institute of Luxury, Fashion & Style Dubai’s prize.
Founder of Three Fifty Nine, Egyptian designer Marwa Sayed, will display her designs at Fashion Scout, an independent platform for creative and international designers held during London Fashion Week. Three Fifty Nine, which was founded three years ago, will present its Spring 2019 collection at the showcase, held between September 14 and 17, an opportunity that Sayed describes as a “dream come true”.
Six designers were shortlisted for the prize, with a judging committee selecting Three Fifty Nine as the overall winner. The label is going to take part in next year’s New York Fashion Week. This would mark a rise to success for a relatively new brand.
The label’s fall collection is dominated by graphic prints, imagined in clean, modern lines and fluid silhouettes. With a focus on vibrant color and unique finishes, Sayed has previously revealed the label was born from her love of art. In fact, the designer frequently collaborates with local artists to create custom prints for her collections.
We can’t wait to see this Egyptian make us proud on the runway!
