International House of Pancakes, more commonly known as IHOP, announced its name change to IHOb starting June 11, and the public is going wild trying to find out what the ‘b’ stands for.
“For 60 pancakin’ years, we’ve been IHOP,” wrote the company. “Now, we’re flippin’ our name to IHOb.”

On their Twitter account, they posted a poll where their followers can vote on what the ‘b’ stands for. So far ‘bacon’ is in the lead, but the comments make you wonder if the mystery b-word is even one of the options posted.
IHOb replied to comments with smart remarks such as “It could b anything”, “the obtions are endless”, “the bossibilities are endless” and “you’ll have to wait and see what it could b.”

For us Egyptians, this change is hilarious because you can’t help but say, “that’s what Egyptians have been calling it all along!” Even the Washington Post published an article titled, “IHOP’s new name is confusing the masses. But for Arabic speakers, it’s always been IHOb”
