During Trump’s speech to the United Nations General Assembly, world leaders literally laughed at his speech. The audience burst into laughter when Trump bragged about his accomplishments as president. “In two years, we have accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country,” he said. And although he had previously made this claim, it was to an audience back in the USA who were willing to indulge him. However, a few members of the audience audibly laughed at this ridiculous claim. To that, Trump replied by smiling and saying, “so true.” That yielded even more laughter from his audience. Trump then paused again uncomfortably and then said, “Didn’t expect that reaction, but that’s okay.”

While Trump may be able to get away with this kind of false bragging back in the USA to a Republican audience, world dignitaries are more critical and have no political incentive to let him get away with his exaggerations.
Here’s the ironic part. NBC reporter Benjy Sarlin, claims that Trump is obssessed with the notion of the world laughing at the USA. His tweet made us LOL!
Trump is obsessed with the idea other countries are "laughing" at us in his rhetoric, so feels kind notable they're literally doing it to his face https://t.co/0HkWXVub3j
