Egyptians winning medals for weightlifting is fitting. Egyptians are known for handling tough situations and known for getting through whatever gets in their way. They don’t have to participate in the Olympic Games to carry a heavy weight on their shoulders and ending the pain with a smile of victory! In fact, winning medals at the Olympics weightlifting events is not new to Egypt. Weightlifting is the event that yielded the most medals for Egypt over the years, with a total of 12 medals since 1928.
