After continuing the great success in Lebanon for more than two years, Metro city consisting of 10 artists, musicians, singers, actors and dancers, will take you back to the golden age in an entrancing and unique “Egypt Twenties” performance in Alexandria, Inspired by movies and weddings that were prevalent in Egypt in the first half of the last century, Re-experiencing the nostalgic and artistic glory of Egypt’s Golden Age, as seen through the eyes of a leading Lebanese ensemble
The performance will take place Thursday, October 1st, 2015
8:00 pm at Opera Sayed Darwish Theatre in Alexandria and will
include four portraits, dozens of songs like “Ya Hassan Ya Kholi Al Genenah” , “Mashrabsh El Shay” , “Khalih Yetgawez Ya Baheya”, “Ya Mostafa Ya Mostafa” performed in charming scenes .
The scenes will give us an amusing ride on a time machine to the era of good times, over the two hours of the program that when performed, were applauded by the Lebanese audience and tourists from Arabs and foreigners of all ages on Metro city Theater located in the famous Hamra street in Beirut.IB3A0298
The show earned the critics admiration who saw it as the restoration of Egypt’s atmosphere in the beautiful and impressive decor adapted from this era.
Organized and planned by the Lebanese Consul General in Alexandria H.E Oussama Al Khashab. The very diligent and efficient diplomat, who first invited the exeptional singer Majida Al-Rumi and over months kept working on a project for assembling a concert at Bibliotheca Alexandria which was beyond fetching and went smoothly with no imperfections. A man who definitely takes the sky as his limit.
