We have two questions for you:
One: If you were one of the lucky few to get a invite to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding, would you immediately try to find a way to profit off of the experience after the ceremony?
According to BBC, around a dozen of the royal wedding guests have placed their gift bags from the wedding up for sale on eBay. These bags were given to 1,200 members of the public who were chosen randomly by ballot to celebrate on the Windsor Castle grounds and watch the wedding ceremony from outside of the building.
Here’s question number two: would you buy a royal wedding goodie bag for £1,000? Because that’s how much they’re being sold for. We should mention that these goodie bags consist of a commemorative tote, a magnet, a biodegradable poncho, a chocolate coin, some shortbread, and a can of water. So… would you?
Sellers are justifying their steep prices by saying it’s a “chance to buy your very own piece of British royal history,” which is quite a lot of buildup for a fridge magnet and some other trivial things.
So how much would you pay for a royal goodie bag? £0 is an option…
