The Cairo film festival is an annual internationally accredited film festival held in Cairo Opera House, It is the only international competitive feature film festival recognized by the FIAPF in the Arab world and Africa, as well as the oldest in this category.
The 39th edition took place from November 21-30, 2017; the film The Mountain Between Us will be screened during the opening ceremony of the festival.
Here are some of the best and worst dressed actresses who grabbed the attention in the film festival :
Best dressed:
First of all when in doubt wear black. Tunisian Mehdy Kallel designed Hend Sabry’s dress. It was a big night for the lovely actress. She received the Faten Hamama Award For Excellence, and her dress was a smart and a very chic choice. Maybe a bit safe too!
The one and only Boho-chic Amina Khalil was not at all boho in that very classical and gorgeous Sara Onsi gown. Amina totally rocked this dark green dress. We couldn’t help it but have our eyes on her and look for her in every picture taken in the festival. Amina turned heads before walking in, NO JOKE!
Engy El Mokaddem decided to surprise us after not winning many hearts with her dress in El Gouna Film Festival, She went for a very classic and elegant Kojak dress. No words to say but Engy totally won the look.
Well, Saba’s dresses are always open for debates. She surely points to be an eye catcher each time she walks on the red carpet, and this time she stole the night in her dress by Jordanian designer Laith Maalouf.
Naglaa Badr took her first confident step into the Best Dressed Category last night, and looked stunning. Her dress is made by the Egyptian designer Marwa Waddah.
Worst dressed:
Though Yosra claimed and owned a spot in our Best Dressed List at El Gouna Film Festival, and though she is this year’s Honorary President, last night wasn’t the best choice of attire for the star, it showed all her body flaws and it she didn’t look very elegant.
Another celebrity fall of the Best Dressed List at El Gouna Festival. We can see that Bushra was aiming for the adventurous and playful vibe, but the snake is so distracting, and creepy to say the least.
Well, Asala’s performance was phenomenal, but her dress choice by Nicholas Jebran was a total miss! I actually see that there is too much happening in the dress and it could have been simpler.
Why would Abir Sabry wear “carina” under her dress? I mean if she was going to wear a carina under the see-through dress then why did she wear it in the first place???
