Russian activist group “Pussy Riot” has claimed responsibility for the field invasion that occurred during the 52ndminute of the final World Cup match at the Luzhniki Stadium.
The four were dressed in black trousers, white shirts and black times resembling old-fashioned police uniforms as they simultaneously emerged from behind the French goal, and ran around the field. The stewards quickly tackled them to the ground, however, one of the protesters managed to rush a high-five from French player Kylian Mbappe leading to this picture that many are calling “iconic”.
