The 38th Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) runs from the 15th until November 25, and this year it emerged from the Cairo Opera House halls, where it has been held since the 2011 revolution, and back into downtown Cairo via cinemas Odeon and Karim.

Ahmed Helmy got us emotional when he gave his speech in tribute to the late iconic Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, social media cracked us up questioning what the notorious belly-dancer Sama El-Masry was doing there, but the best part of the festival was seeing all the celebrities in their pretty (and sometimes not so pretty) dresses. But we’ll leave the Fashion Police-ing to you! Tell us what you think!
